Hmm. I mean I guess you could buy it back and fix it up... But then you need a rebuilt title which is a pain. And then find someone to insure it, or you at least at liability in that car. And you’ll never get that $2,400 back if you throw it at repairs , may as well use it for another car... :(

Bumper on my Lexus was $1,100 so I guessed it couldn't be much cheaper on a similar Acura.

It doesn’t need everything fixed but I also don’t want insurance to screw me over. Idk how buy back works, it’s from a small company neither my agent (State Farm, 20+ yr veteran of the industry) or myself have heard of. Plus there’s no way I could find a better car for $4k, sure it’s rusty but it’s trusty

yes, plus I’m in college and was going to leave January 9 and drive 1000 miles to South Carolina, then drive back to college (almost 3000 total) by Jan 19.

Insurance is slow. When they totalled my Integra, it took damn near a month for them to declare it a total loss. I drove it for another 4 weeks in college before they towed it away.
